Vistosi follows a long Venetian glass tradition that began in the island of Torcello. After a complicated history; glass production moved to the now famous island of Murano. Glass was transformed into pendants, jewelry, and other valued items.
In the 17th century, the family's name was associated with the Glass Art of Murano. Over the last decades Vistosi created new and provocative modern solutions that met and blended with the technological heritage of Murano glass. Designers have become a habitual figure in the creative process though the glassmaster is still entrusted with the creation of new pieces in many cases.
Hand-made and high quality lamps are produced over a wide range of categories; from pendant and ceiling lights, to chandeliers, and table or floor lamps. The beauty of Murano glass and the skill of both the designer and glass-maker shine through the Vistosi glass art.
