+ born february 16, 1918 in milan. in 1944 he graduated in architecture from the milan politechnico. later collaborated with his older brothers pier giacomo and livio in some designs. participated in the organization and exhibited in every triennale in milan since 1947. unique 'minimalist' design aesthetic. redesigned, most of them with his brother giacomo, many objects. these redesigns drew upon the 'ready made' artworks of marcel duchamp. achille also taught for many years, first at the polytechnic of turin in 1969 then in industrial design at the polytechnic university of milan. he received the compasso d'oro award nine times.
